La tarea para octubre

viernes, el 28: Study flashcards for restaurant vocabulary for a quiz. Be able to use the words in sentences with "ser" and "estar".

Bring in your signed permission slip and money for lunch at Juanita's no later than next Tuesday.

lunes, el 24: Study the 4 new verbs (pedir, servir, venir, traer) for a quiz. Be able to conjugate them, know their meaning and use them in sentences.

Know how to use it to tell ages.
Be able to answer questions that include tener and tener que

Possessives -- Know the possessive adjectives (pg.233)
Be able to use them in complete sentences

Culture
Know 3 facts about Quinceañera celebrations (what makes them different from other birthday parties)

Escribir – Minimum of 7 sentences; 7 words or more per sentence

The party planner at a local Mexican restaurant is helping you plan a birthday party for your cousin. Since you know the people at the restaurant speak Spanish, you decide to write them a note in Spanish that tells them your cousin’s name, age, things he or she does and does not like to do, the type of decorations he or she likes best, and the type of personality he or she has. Use your imagination. Remember: The more you tell them, the better the party will be! Include at least 3 of the following verbs: to take pictures, to break, to open, to make, to celebrate





miércoles, el 5: Study your picture flashcards for a vocabulary quiz. Be able to write sentences using the "ir + a + infinitive" pattern with the vocabulary to tell what people are "going to do".

lunes, el 3: Write, practice and learn your oral presentation for next class. Bring your photos to class to use during the presentation. Bring in a written copy to hand in (not for a grade.)
