La tarea para febrero

The homework assigned in class today was:

 miércoles, el 26 de febrero: Study for the grammar, vocabulary and culture sections of the Ch. 3A test

lunes, el 24 de febrero: Study for the listening and writing sections of the Ch. 3A test; Remember that you will do the other sections on Friday

jueves, el 13 de febrero: If you did not take the quiz on er and ir verbs, study to take it in class on Monday, Feb. 24

martes, el 11 de febrero: Finish your commercial and e-mail it or bring it on a CD or flash drive; bring a copy of the script to hand in. If you want to take the verb conjugation quiz on Thursday during Tutorial, study er and ir verbs and be able to use them in fill-in-the-blank sentences

viernes, el 7 de febrero: Study for the vocabulary quiz on the food expressions; be able to answer questions using comer, beber, me gusta(n)

lunes, el 3 de febrero: Practice Workbook pgs. 52 and 53; Study flashcard vocabulary for the quiz on Friday.

La tarea para enero

viernes, el 24 de enero: No hay tarea. Buen fin de semana!

miércoles, el 22 de enero: Ch. 2B Test -- Use the Study Guide you received in class for examples of questions for each section.

Vocabulario y gramática

*Know all vocabulary expressions (flashcards, directions poem, pg. 120)

*Write sentences telling how many of each item there are in the classroom, based on pictures.

*Fill in the blanks in a conversation using the correct forms of "estar".

Answer questions using forms of “estar”

*Say where items in a classroom are located using a picture. (similar to Workbook pg. 46)

*Write the plural forms of nouns and articles given.
                 
Escribir
Send a message to an e-mail friend in Spain to tell him/her about your school. What is your Spanish class like? Describe the classroom where it meets. What is in the room? Give the location of some furnishings or items. Ask your friend a question about where items are located in his/her classroom. (minimum of 6 sentences)

Cultura
Your local Chamber of Commerce has chosen you to represent your town or city in Mexico City for a month. School will be in session when you arrive. Tell at least three things that you have learned in this chapter about how your Mexico City school will be different from MPH.  (see pg. 116 in the textbook)

Tell 3 facts you learned about Central America in the videos or the readings.

1. Draw the room -- neatly!
2. Label the items in the room
3. Write the paragraph -- 8 sentences or more --telling what is in the room, how many there are and where they are located
