La tarea para enero

The homework assigned in class today was:

jueves, e. 30 de enero: Make flashcards for the foods on the handout; Practice Workbook pg. 51


martes, el 28 de enero: Practice Workbook pgs. 49 and 50


viernes, el 24 de enero: No hay tarea. Buen fin de semana!

miércoles, el 22 de enero: Ch. 2B Test -- Use the Study Guide you received in class for examples of questions for each section.

Vocabulario y gramática

*Know all vocabulary expressions (flashcards, directions poem, pg. 120)

*Write sentences telling how many of each item there are in the classroom, based on pictures.

*Fill in the blanks in a conversation using the correct forms of "estar".

Answer questions using forms of “estar”

*Say where items in a classroom are located using a picture. (similar to Workbook pg. 46)

*Write the plural forms of nouns and articles given.
                 
Escribir
Send a message to an e-mail friend in Spain to tell him/her about your school. What is your Spanish class like? Describe the classroom where it meets. What is in the room? Give the location of some furnishings or items. Ask your friend a question about where items are located in his/her classroom. (minimum of 6 sentences)

Cultura
Your local Chamber of Commerce has chosen you to represent your town or city in Mexico City for a month. School will be in session when you arrive. Tell at least three things that you have learned in this chapter about how your Mexico City school will be different from MPH.  (see pg. 116 in the textbook)

Tell 3 facts you learned about Central America in the videos or the readings.
 



viernes, el 17 de enero: Ch. 2B Written Evaluation -- Follow the directions on pg. 117 except draw and describe any classroom other than your Spanish room.
1. Draw the room -- neatly!
2. Label the items in the room
3. Write the paragraph -- 8 sentences or more --telling what is in the room, how many there are and where they are located
4. Word process, double space

jueves, el 9 de enero: Work on learning the Directions Rhyme if you haven't already presented it to Sra. Hadlick; Make flashcards for the Ch. 2B vocabulary on the handout; Practice Workbook pg. 44

La tarea para diciembre

The homework assigned in class today was:

viernes, el 20 de diciembre: No hay tarea; Nos vemos en enero!

lunes, el 16 de diciembre: Practice Workbook pgs. 40 and 41: Bring in $1 and candy for the piñata before Thursday


jueves, el 12 de diciembre: Tell your parents about the pinata.
Before next Thursday, please bring in $1 toward the pinata and a small bag of individually wrapped candies (no lollipops, candy canes or nuts/peanuts please)

martes, el 10 de diciembre: Study for the Chapter 2A test on Thursday; Use the Study Guide you received in class today.

miércoles, el 3 de diciembre: Prepare and practice for your oral presentation, using the directions on pg. 93; Remember that you may use 1 3X5 index card with notes to help you remember but the less you refer to it the better your grade will be.

lunes, el 2 de diciembre: Study the subject pronouns and "ar" verb conjugations for a quiz
